We’re officially into the dog days of summer, which means Dave’s on a dock somewhere for a few days with a margarita in one hand, a fishing pole in the other, and CBC Radio playing through his phone.
The Chamber office is already busy working on early logistics for our involvement in the fall municipal elections, as well as all of our fall and winter events.  We’re looking forward to our first Business After Hours event at Thorpe Bros. Funeral Home & Chapel in September after the unofficial summer break.
We’re in the middle of a busy week welcoming new members, many of whom were referred by current members; don’t forget about our member referral bonuses if you know a local business that hasn’t joined yet!
Lastly, we were glad to be present at last Friday’s Rotary Brantford meeting to witness the Presidential gavel being passed from one familiar Chamber of Commerce Brantford-Brant face to another, as Cindy Swanson wrapped up her year as Club President and Joy O’Donnell began hers. A huge congratulations to both Cindy and Joy, and thanks to Rotary and all the other incredible service clubs throughout the City and the County.
