The change in weather and emergence of fall colours this week has been a great kick-off to Small Business Week! The Chamber is proud to once again partner with the Brantford-Brant Business Resource Centre and Enterprise Brant to deliver programming in support of small business in our community. In renewing this long dormant partnership in 2022, and aligning our Tradeshow (today 4-7pm at the Best Western!) with Small Business Week, the Chamber will begin to strengthen our support for the largest sector of employment in our community. At the Canadian Chamber of Commerce AGM and Policy Convention last week, our Chamber was proud to have two key resolutions adapted by the delegates, to form part of the national organization’s policy playbook for the next three years. Chamber staff and President Paul Bisanti presented advocacy positions for improved access to for Canadian business to Naval and Coast Guard procurement, and support for a national strategy to address addictions, as well as consideration for 57 other issues of national significance, including many directly impacting small business. Once the final playbook is adapted and edited, we will update and adjust our Advocacy messaging to share this important work, made possible by your investment in the Chamber. Finally, President Paul will be speaking at the Sunrise Rotary Club of Brantford this week.
Have a great small business week, and look forward to seeing you soon!
Dave
