Welcome to September! I am pleased to announce that Alex Dow has joined the Chamber team as our Administration and Communications Coordinator, a role she has been filling on a part-time basis this summer, after a successful work term during her Conestoga College program. The Chamber is proud to continue to work with our education and training community partners, from early years to second career training and every option in between. Alex will also be providing communications and office support to the Grand Valley Educational Society. Welcome, Alex!
Staff are busy preparing for the RogersTV/Chamber City of Brantford Municipal Election debates, being recorded next week. Volunteer spots remain available for some ward debates, a short two-hour shift.
Finally, as the Chamber plans for 2023, our Board of Directors and various committees have opportunities available. With a renewed focus on efficient and effective governance and volunteer experiences, a volunteer position with the Chamber is a great way to contribute positively to our community. Please contact David for more details and how to apply.
Have a great first week of school – whether you need to adjust to busier streets, making lunches, or new routines around home.
