Welcome to October!

Staff are busy preparing for our Small Business Week Tradeshow and Wine, Women, and Shopping events coming up, as well as our Business After Hours event on Tuesday, October 17th, hosted by Chamber partner Millard’s.

Chamber President Paul Bisanti, Vice-President Chris Rayfield, and staff will be attending the Canadian Chamber of Commerce AGM and Policy Convention next week, with two Chamber authored policies to support, and a number of others that Paul and staff had a hand in guiding through the Ontario Caucus process this summer. The policy process is a fascinating opportunity to learn about the priorities of other Chambers and regions, and to engage with professionals and volunteers from across Canada in nationally significant priorities. The Chamber has a proud history of engagement in the policy process – look for more details in the November InTouch, future issues of the e-News and InTouch, and if you have a nationally important business issue, reach out through the Advocacy Committee or contact the Chamber to learn more.
