Hello!

Briefly this morning, we look forward to hosting you at the Rope Factory Event Hall late this afternoon for our 156th Annual General Meeting! Refreshments provided, networking at 5, program 5:30-6:00 pm.

The Chamber is participating this morning in a Housing Affordability Roundtable hosted by our friends at the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and Guelph Chamber of Commerce, and is looking forward later this week to additional advocacy meetings locally. The Advocacy Committee meets on Wednesday to review some of our current positions, as well as a proposed policy paper on recent changes to the WSIB and the application of all costs and counts associated with COVID-19 to be applied in calculating premium rates to individual Schedule 1 employers. If this will impact your business, please contact David with your feedback.

The Chamber is delighted to support emerging entrepreneurs this spring, through engaging with the Laurier Launchpad Pitch Competition on Thursday, and supporting the Summer Company and Starter Company Plus programs through the Brantford-Brant Business Resource Centre. If you have ideas, family, friends, or colleagues that may benefit from these great opportunities, the Chamber pleased to make additional connections. There are other partners and initiatives as well that can be connected.

Finally, our friends at Conestoga College are delightfully bursting with demand for their summer programming, and require additional course instructors. Please see this link to Conestoga opportunities for more details.

See you this afternoon!
