Welcome to May!

A busy month for everyone, especially the Chamber! Staff are putting the final touches on the 39th Annual Business Excellence Awards, presented by BDO Canada, this Thursday, May 4th at the Towneplace Suites by Marriott. This event is sold out, and it will be a very special evening for all of our finalists, winners, and guests. Our May InTouch arrives early next week, just in advance of Business After Hours hosted by Misty’s Kitchens on May 9th, and our Skilled Trades Luncheon presented by the Grand Erie District School Board, the Brant Haldimand-Norfolk Catholic District School Board and the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program on Tuesday, May 16th.

May is Mental Health Month, and we are proud to highlight a number of initiatives to support awareness and action to improve support in our community. This week, we will feature Food4Thought on ChamberTV – presented by Millard’s Chartered Professional Accountants – and the Smile Cookie Campaign, in support of Lansdowne Children Centre. We look forward to highlighting how partnerships improve our community, check out the show on RogersTV and YouTube beginning Thursday. If your business or organization would like to be featured on an upcoming show, please get in touch with the Chamber. We are looking to do some on-location shoots this summer in preparation for our fall schedule.

This month the Chamber is also proud to highlight the Moose Hide Campaign. For more information please click the link(s) within, or stop by the Chamber office or at an event to pick up your pin.
