Most people we speak with can’t believe it is mid-June already! We had a great day for our annual Golf Tournament, presented by Millard’s, last week, and look forward to a vibrant Business After Hours this evening at Mann’s Distillery.
It is bittersweet that I announce the departure of Leslie Barker, Events Coordinator, from the Chamber.. Leslie’s nine years with the Chamber have seen a number of changes in our operations, with Leslie’s responsibilities evolving to meet the changing needs of our membership. An innovator of our Women In Business events, they will bear Leslie’s creativity and hard work for future events. Leslie’s adaptability during the early months of the pandemic allowed the Chamber to adjust to difficult circumstances, and her move to manage all events midway through saw an unprecedented investment in technology to deliver hybrid and dynamic events. Our sold-out 2023 Business Excellence Awards and Golf Tournament are perfect send-offs to her Chamber career. She will remain doing similar work in the community, and we look forward to mutually supporting our organizations in the future.
