As the provincial lockdown continues this week, all levels of your Chamber investment are working hard with the government to create conditions for successful re-openings and economic growth. The Canadian Chamber of Commerce, among its efforts on multiple fronts including international trade, published this op-ed: The urgent need for widespread rapid testing
The Ontario Chamber of Commerce released its Ontario Economic Report, with data collected from our members and hundreds of other businesses across the province who were able to participate over three surveys this fall: 5th Annual Economic Report.
Locally, the Chamber is in weekly contact with members and government at all levels and is regularly listening and forwarding concerns and ideas to the government. The OCC and the Chamber will be calling for a coordinated approach to reopening Ontario’s economy. While we continue to deal with the immediate demands of the pandemic, we must also begin looking over the horizon to ensure businesses are prepared for the provincial and regional reopening and recovery.
Please stay in touch with your ideas and feedback.
