This week the Chamber is participating in the Canadian Chamber of Commerce AGM and Policy Convention, advancing the interests of businesses in Brantford-Brant, and learning from our colleagues across Canada. With the announcement of the new federal cabinet yesterday, there are many national issues of importance to focus on, including workforce, immigration, and diversity challenges. Provincially, the essential business recovery information from the Government of Ontario is highlighted below, and we continue to advocate for targeted supports to the hardest-hit industries.
The Chamber is excited to be able to offer a couple of high-profile opportunities to our membership over the coming months, specifically our Shop Local Brantford-Brant campaign, and through ChamberTV, our weekly show on RogersTV. We want to feature and highlight your business, in print, online and through video, and some of these opportunities will be free to you! To participate in Shop Local Brantford-Brant, please contact Olivia Hull, at olivia@brcc.ca.
For ChamberTV, we are looking to highlight new and innovative businesses and services in the community for the benefit of the general public. ChamberTV airs Thursdays on RogersTV Brantford and records earlier in the week. Please contact david@brcc.ca to schedule your opportunity.
Provincially, the essential business recovery information from the Government of Ontario is highlighted below, and we continue to advocate for targeted supports to the hardest-hit industries. Please take five minutes to complete the Ontario Economic Report Survey to help guide regional data collection and assist in targeting supports.
Finally, we are excited to be safely planning for our in-person events this fall, including our popular Wine, Women, and Shopping event on November 24th, and our always popular Chamber Christmas Open House, returning to the Rope Factory Event Hall on Tuesday, December 7th, all subject to our Chamber Covid-19 safety protocols and current public health guidelines.
Happy Halloween!
